Laneway Festival Presents Field Day Festival Stage In Association With Last.fm
4 May 2012
We're very happy to announce that we're joining forces with London's premiere boundary-pushing music festival, FIELD DAY, for the second time to present a stage in conjunction at the London event this year.
The Laneway Festival/Last.fm Stage will host these previously announced acts:
Blood Orange
Errors
Here We Go Magic
Kindness
Sleigh Bells
Spector
Summer Camp
Two Jackals
The Vaccines
The Laneway Festival, which has expanded in recent years to encompass five capital cities in Australia as well as events in Singapore and Auckland, has built a reputation for programming the most exciting new artists from Australia and around the globe. For the past two years, Field Day promoter Eat Your Own Ears has presented a stage at the boutique event.
Tom Baker, EYOE founder, says of the association:
"It's really exciting to be able to swap stages with the Laneway Festival. This is the second year now and the line-ups just get stronger and better every year. I think the ethos of Laneway Festival and Field Day is similar; it's all about the audience seeing their favourite band as well as discovering new and exciting artists...
"We are becoming a multinational now with our annual event at SXSW in Austin TX where Laneway Festival and Field Day curate and host a stage. The only way is up or down if you want to get to Australia!!"
The partnership between the Laneway Festival and EYOE also extends to the Apple Cart Festival. The multi-disciplinary London event that caters for both adults and children is in keeping with both promoters' commitment to a unique take on the festival experience.
